Enveda has raised a $311 million series E round, positioning the nature-derived drug discovery company to pursue its goal of becoming a household name over the next decade.
Like the organisms it taps for novel chemistry, Enveda has settled into an annual cycle. The biotech raised a $130 million series C round in November 2024 and secured $150 million in series D funds in September 2025.
Fueled by the more than $500 million raised across its first four rounds, Enveda delivered clinical data on two drug candidates this year and began testing a third molecule in humans.
The biotech fired the starting gun on the next phase of its evolution this morning by raising a series E. CEO Viswa Colluru, Ph.D., aimed high in a video accompanying the financing news, saying that the biotech’s goal is to become a household name and deliver medicines that affect hundreds of millions of people within a decade.
The series E round will equip Enveda’s leadership team to build a business capable of carrying medicines “from discovery through late-stage development, and do it faster and at lower cost than the industry has come to accept,” Colluru said in an accompanying statement. Artificial intelligence underpins Enveda’s belief it can better standard industry timelines and budgets.
ENV-294 and ENV-308 will serve as proving grounds for the biotech’s bullish statements. Enveda posted phase 1b data on ENV-294 in July, linking the oral small molecule to a mean 68% reduction in eczema area and severity by Day 28. The reduction deepened to 85% by Day 42. Enveda is running phase 2a trials in atopic dermatitis and asthma.
The biotech shared phase 1 data on ENV-308 in healthy volunteers last month. Aspiring to create a pill that mimics the effects of exercise, Enveda engineered the candidate to replicate the effects of post-exertion hormone N-lactoyl-phenylalanine while being suitable for daily oral dosing. The biotech is testing whether ENV-308 can help people maintain weight loss after stopping GLP-1s.
A third candidate, ENV-6946, is in phase 1 development as a treatment for inflammatory bowel disease. The series E round equips Enveda to advance ENV-294 and ENV-308 into later-stage trials and additional indications while pushing ENV-6946 through mid-stage studies. Enveda expects to have enough money left over to progress other candidates into the clinic.
