Report: J&J tops list for most productive pharma company

IDEA Pharma's latest Productive Innovation Index ranked Johnson & Johnson ($JNJ) No. 1 among drugmakers that are successfully commercializing their new molecules. The report measured companies' ability to deliver innovation to market by assessing their performance based on publicly available data from a 5-year period--2007 to 2012. Last year Amgen ($AMGN) took the top spot with J&J coming in second place, but the companies have switched places in the 2013 rankings. Roche ($RHHBY) is third on the list, followed by Merck ($MRK), up three places from last year. Meanwhile, Sanofi ($SNY) rose one place to fifth. Story
