Almirall deepens its dermatology dive with a $386M deal

Spanish drugmaker Almirall, moving on from its former focus on respiratory therapies, is beefing up its dermatology pipeline with a buyout of Switzerland's Poli Group. Under the deal, Almirall is acquiring all of Poli's shares for €365 million ($386 million), bringing in three clinical dermatology candidates and an R&D infrastructure the company said will help it generate more shots on goal in the field.
