Global Systems innovator reinforced the importance of integrating multiple data streams to dramatically improve clinical trial efficiencies and streamline timelines by releasing its exclusive PHT Integration Engine.

PHT’s Integration Engine is an automated, validated system that is completely reusable and expandable. It provides unequaled economies of scale and eliminates the burden on the site and sponsor by integrating data in real time. Projects that previously required months to complete manually are now accomplished in hours. A recent integration transferred over 10,000 forms for 263 subjects in just 90 minutes.

PHT Vice President of Marketing Sheila Rocchio, MBA, explained, “We’re constantly looking for ways to help customers integrate multiple streams of patient data, and reduce data entry and data management burdens. By integrating with leading companies in eClinical research, PHT minimizes time-consuming data cleaning tasks to allow sites, sponsors and CROs to focus on what they care about most: good science and helping patients.”

The PHT Integration Engine takes advantage of PHT’s market-leading ® online reporting system, which natively generates CDISC ODM XML for integration with a broad range of eClinical systems.

PHT recently completed integration with , a leading electronic data capture (EDC) and clinical data management (CDM) solution, for a sponsor that required patient medication intake date timestamps collected on PHT’s ® System to be populated in the Medidata Rave database. By integrating multiple data streams, sponsors and CROs realize significant cost and time efficiencies.

Anne Zieliniski, Medidata’s Vice President of Alliances, said, “Clinical trials need a range of flexible technologies and the Medidata Rave platform was designed to support seamless integration with other clinical systems through our robust APIs. PHT has been a long-time integration partner of Medidata Solutions and is the first ePRO provider that supports both metadata integration and clinical data integration with Rave.”

PHT’s Sheila Rocchio added, “The PHT Integration Engine framework is an adaptable and reusable architecture. Some trial sponsors still think integration among eClinical systems is costly, time consuming and error prone, but this is no longer the case. Today, integration is the most cost effective, efficient and accurate way for a sponsor or CRO to stay on top of every aspect of data related to a clinical trial, and it’s in real time.”
